We had earlier released an IP Intelligence report on the “Internet of Things” (IoT). The report used patent taxonomies to gain insights into the technology, IP commercialization trends, and opportunities in IoT.
A significant number of patents have been published in this area, in the months subsequent to that report. It made sense for us to revisit our earlier study and update the numbers, which we have done. The new numbers are presented in an infographic.
