Relecura Updates

Relecura Updates

Here again is a round-up of new features and the enhancements implemented in Relecura over the past couple of months. Relecura Assignees This is a new field that has been added to determine the current owner of a patent asset. This is especially helpful in cases where the patent document is missing key ownership data, or in many cases has no assignee data whatsoever. A set of heuristics are applied to determine this field from other documents in the kind code series and related documents in the patent family. Public Portfolio This feature makes it possible for Relecura users to share document sets with others by providing a link. The link may be embedded in reports as well. A Relecura account is not required to access a Public Portfolio. More information on this...

Public Portfolios / Public Documents – new feature [update]

Public Portfolios / Public Documents – new feature [update]

We have just released a Public Portfolio feature in Relecura. This enables a Relecura user to share any portfolio saved in Relecura, with a select group of collaborators or third parties. Relecura generates a link for the given portfolio that provides the access. This link can be secured with a pass code. Additionally, the sender may specify an expiry date for the link, beyond which access will lapse. This in itself is not unique. What makes it novel is that a small subset of Relecura’s analytics and visualization features are made available to those accessing the link. They can thus, not just study the documents in detail, but also obtain analytics and visualizations for the portfolio – without requiring Relecura licenses of their own. The sender can...

We took a closer look at these patents and compared them to those held by other companies. The insights obtained are provided in the report. We have also created an infographic that combines the above patent data with electric vehicle market data. Feel free to check out our other white papers and...

Tesla vs. The Rest – Battery and Charging Patents (Free Report)

There has been a buzz recently in the electric vehicle industry after Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla Motors announced in a blog post that they were “open sourcing” their patents. He went on to say that “… Tesla will not initiate patent lawsuits against anyone who, in good faith, wants to use our technology.” This was followed by BMW stating that it too was not averse to sharing it’s own battery technology, that it had jointly developed with Samsung. There were other developments, like Tesla’s decision to set up a large factory in Nevada to manufacture Lithium batteries in partnership with Panasonic. Toyota, who partnered with Tesla for battery-electric powertrains in 2010, have decided to let their agreement lapse at the end...
