We recently released an IP Intelligence report that studied the patent portfolio of Tesla Motors and placed it in the context of the overall electric vehicle technology landscape. One of the immediate findings was the fact that Tesla had a number of patents in the battery and charging area.
These patents form around 60% of Tesla’s portfolio. We took a closer look at these patents and compared them to those held by other companies. The insights obtained are provided in the report.
